Don Khong Guest House is located on the south-eastern shore of Don Khong Island. This convenient location is amongst all guest houses and tourist facilities on the island, including the nearby Hat Xai Khun boat crossing and Ban Hat ferry crossing to Don Khong. This location is an ideal starting point for exploring beautiful Don Khong.

Getting there:  Most pre-organised minibus transfers from both Pakse and Si Pan Don will drop visitors off at the boat landing in Hat Xai Khun village on the mainland opposite Muang Khong village on Don Khong. From here, if boat transportation is not inclusive in the transfer price, ask any boat drivers waiting at this location to be brought across. Price is dependent on the number of people. Ask to go to Done Khong Guest House and you should be able to be dropped off directly in front of the property.

If arriving independently, the closest official and regular ferry crossing departs from Ban Hat village on the mainland, south of Hat Xai Khun. Ferries depart regularly all day long and can take passengers, motorbikes and larger vehicles. You will disembark south of the main town of Don Khong (Muang Khong) were all the guest houses are located including Dong Khong Guest House. If on foot, try to find motorbike taxi's or ask vehicles on the ferry for a lift to the town. When disembarking the ferry, turn right onto the street. It takes approximately 5 minutes to drive to Dong Khong Guest House which is on the river front in Muang Khong Village.
